| Our cloth diaper boutique is based in Winnipeg, MB Canada. We opened our online store in April 2006 and offer products that we are passionate about. We are opening our first store location in October 2010.
My spouse and I first considered cloth diapering when we were expecting our first daughter in 2003. My online searches for cloth diapering information left me overwhelmed, not knowing which diaper styles needed covers or how different systems of cloth diapers would work together. Friends and family tried to talk us out of using cloth diapers as they believed cloth diapers would be a lot of work and would be hard to use. Still, knowing that using disposable diapers on our baby would send thousands of diapers to landfills, I eventually started by ordering 2 or 3 cloth diapers online, many months after our daughter was born. I started with fun, Hawaiian-print pocket diapers from Happy Heinys, a few Fuzzibunz and one-size Wonderoos, and a few Bummis covers and prefolds. Cloth diapering quickly became a choice that I would later look back on as being one of my favourite decisions as a new parent. My advice to parents considering cloth diapering would be pick 2 - 3 different brands of diapers, buy one of each and just try them on your baby. As the years went on for us, we eventually used cloth diapers on our 2nd daughter as well and at this point enjoyed the convenience of pail liners, a diaper sprayer, wet bags for travel and the luxury of minkee diapers. Cloth diapering became a big part of raising our daughters. 7 years after considering cloth diapers for our baby, cloth diapering is still very important to us.
