Hi my name is Aimie, my spouse is Joey, and we have a 4 year old daughter named Keira, and a 1 year old daughter named Maya. We would like to welcome you to our site and hope you feel at home here.
How did we get started with cloth diapering?
While pregnant with my daughter, I considered cloth diapering but was a little unsure about which brands to buy and what the differences were in diapers. Finally, when my daughter was 7 months old, I considered cloth diapering again and started doing my research. Mainly, I wanted to make the switch from disposables to cloth for environment reasons. I didn't feel comfortable throwing out so many diapers. My spouse was able to appreciate that cloth diapering would save us money compared to using disposables. By the time my daughter turned 8 months, we started purchasing a few cloth diapers here and there and we were hooked. I could not believe how cute cloth diapers were and how easy they were to use. Essentially, we just threw them in the wash and in the dryer and there wasn't really much folding involved. We experienced less leaks with cloth diapers, and did not miss the scent of disposable diapers. Cloth diapering was probably one of my favourite choices that I made as a new mom.
Why did we decide to open our own store?
I always wished there were more local choices for making my purchases when we started cloth diapering. It seemed like we had to order everything from quite a ways a way, with longer shipping times then we would have hoped for, and border and customs fees from ordering from the U.S. I'm sure at least weekly I would do a search for Winnipeg cloth diapers, hoping to find a local store. I couldn't be the only mom in Winnipeg and the area who was looking for AIOs, pocket diapers, and baby slings. There had to be other moms out there who wanted the same thing and who were probably experiencing the same frustration. The inspiration for our store was born and we look forward to building the site up to offer more and more resources for moms and families in our area.
What can you expect from us?
We want to offer the finest cloth diapers, diaper covers, accessories, and baby carriers possible. We are carrying brands that we have used and loved ourselves and can definitely recommend to other parents. We want to offer the best communication possible and encourage any questions or comments. When working with us, we will communicate all details about your order and make sure you get your order as quickly as possible. I know how quickly moms want to receive their orders so they can start using them with their baby.
